The Master of Arts Program in the Humanities (MAPH) celebrated the graduation of its 20th class in June 2016. With over 2,000 alumni working in a diverse range of fields, MAPH boasts an impressive and constantly expanding network of graduates. While many alumni are local, others can be found across the world: from New York and Los Angeles to Sydney, Paris, Santiago, Hong Kong, and St. Petersburg.
Connect
Many local alumni regularly return to the University of Chicago campus to speak with current students. Others are willing to speak over the phone or by email with current students and recent graduates. We are always excited to hear from and work with our alumni. We encourage you to connect with fellow MAPH alumni through our social media accounts and to stay in touch with the MAPH office!
Alumni Writers
The number of successful MAPH writers continues to grow. Alumni writing ranges from fiction to collections of poetry, from blogs to critically acclaimed graphic novels, to online journals founded and edited by MAPH alumni. Check out our news items or Facebook feed for recent books published by MAPH alumni.
If you are a MAPH alumni who has recently been published let us know at ma-humanities@uchicago.edu.
Give Back
There are many ways alumni can give back to current MAPH students. MAPH alumni are notoriously generous with their time by volunteering to be on a panel, hosting an internship or externship, or serving on a reunion committee.
Additionally, we encourage alumni and friends of MAPH to make donations that will directly impact current MAPH students. Alumni donations help fund internships, travel grants, lectures, and special events.
